Jen Reed shapes structure into story.

Designer. Fabricator. Artist. Place-Maker.

Her work lives at the intersection of materials, movement, and meaning—where curiosity meets craft.

Based between New York and the West Coast, Jen Reed builds bold, sculptural experiences that invite interaction. From large-scale installations and architectural fabrication to collaborative stage design and experimental public works, her practice bridges generations, disciplines, and geographies. Every piece is a portal—to play, to memory, to something deeper.

The Compost Playground

The Apple Core

A surreal, climbable series of compost sculptures made from steel, rope, and copper mesh—inviting us to move through discarded fruit like earthworms in a pile. The first piece, The Apple Core, debuts at Burning Man 2025. It’s a space to play, rest, reflect, and reimagine our relationship to waste and wonder.

Whether you’re curious about a commission, a collaboration, or just want to talk shop, Jen would love to hear from you.
